Let me tell ya world, I’m pretty impressed by the blasé attitude about the Mayan Apocalypse. It says a lot about man today that we’re not really freaking out.
A civilization that far precedes ours on Earth, has reason to believe that there is an exact date of an apocalyptic end. Haven’t enough sources shared this concern that it merits worry? But we’re relaxed. It’s possibly the end of the world as we know it, and we feel fine.
Here’s why we’re so fine with it – there’s nothing we can do! It’s an apocalyptic ending. You’d lose everything and it doesn’t matter because the world is gone. You don’t know the difference.
But for those of you who’d like to feel a little more secure, here’s what you do. Start using Dolly Drive.
Now Dolly won’t fend off an Apocalypse. But if it’s anything short of an apocalypse, then there’s a lot we will do.
Let’s say it’s a disaster that’s short of an apocalyptic ending. Hurricanes, fires, floods , Earthquakes. There is an “other side” to that disaster. And afterwards, once you’re on the other side of the disaster, you’re going to want your stuff. That’s why backup matters. So you have second copies of all your stuff.
But what if you can’t get to your backup either? Then anywhere access matters.
And what if you don’t yet need to restore your whole computer. You just want to pull up that one picture of your whole family from your kid’s baby naming just to remind yourself how important your family is? Then that matters.
And what if the disaster isn’t an earthquake or hurricane but just a ridiculously long line at the Department of Motor Vehicles as you register your new car? Then being able to pull up that Powerpoint deck for your presentation that’s due next Tuesday matters.
So start using Dolly Drive right now because one of two things will happen. It won’t matter as our existence ends in Apocalyptic destruction. Or, if the world doesn’t come to an end, you’ll have protected yourself against anything short of an apocalypse – hurricanes, earthquakes and floods, or downtime at the DMV.
More than a computer crashing plan. We’ve got an anything short of Mayan Apocalypse plan. online backup & storage for Mac.
